Ciafardoni is currently a full time assistant professor in the School of Nursing at SUNY Delhi in the online RN-BSN program and an adjunct faculty member in the Graduate School of Management at the Sage College of Albany. She has an area of expertise in LGBT healthcare, ethics, research, health assessment, community health, and analytical methods.
Previously Ciafardoni was a faculty member teaching online, hybrid, and on campus in the BSN program at Salem State University in MA and has been a high risk labor and delivery nurse for the past 15-plus years, most recently working at St Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY. She holds dual licensure for nursing in both NY and MA and tutors students in preparation for successful NCLEX testing/retesting.
Ciafardoni has special interests in LGBT health care, best practice, transition to practice, and lateral violence as it relates to nursing. She is completing her doctoral program at the Sage Colleges in Albany where her dissertation focus is on Transgender Healthcare and Cultural Competence.
