Holidays
The College observes nine paid scheduled holidays each year. When a scheduled holiday falls on Saturday, the Friday before is observed. If a scheduled holiday falls on a Sunday, the Monday following is observed. The faculty observes the same holidays as the students.
2012-13 Holidays
Following is a list of the holidays the College will be observing during the 2012-13 year:
INDEPENDENCE DAY
In observance of Independence Day, offices will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, 2012.
LABOR DAY
Certain offices will be open on Labor Day, Monday, September 3, 2012 to meet the needs of the First-Year Students who will be on campus. Staffing will be at the discretion of the supervisor. Employees working on Labor Day will be allowed a "floating holiday" to be taken at a later date with the supervisor's approval.
THANKSGIVING
In observance of Thanksgiving, offices will be closed at Noon on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 and will remain closed all day Thursday and Friday, November 22 and 23, 2012.
WINTER CLOSING
Offices will be closed on Monday, December 24, Tuesday, December 25, and at Noon on Monday, December 31, 2012. The College will also be closed on Tuesday, January 1, 2013.
MEMORIAL DAY
In observance of Memorial Day, offices will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2013.
