Holidays
The College observes nine paid scheduled holidays each year. When a scheduled holiday falls on Saturday, the Friday before is observed. If a scheduled holiday falls on a Sunday, the Monday following is observed. The faculty observes the same holidays as the students.
2011-12 Holidays Following is a list of the holidays the College will be observing during the 2011-12 academic year: INDEPENDENCE DAY LABOR DAY THANKSGIVING WINTER CLOSING MEMORIAL DAY
In observance of Independence Day, offices will be closed on Monday, July 4, 2011.
Certain offices will be open on Labor Day, Monday, September 5, 2011 to meet the needs of the First-Year Students who will be on campus. Staffing will be at the discretion of the supervisor. Employees working on Labor Day will be allowed a "floating holiday" to be taken at a later date with the supervisor's approval.
In observance of Thanksgiving, offices will be closed at Noon on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 and will remain closed all day Thursday and Friday, November 24 and 25, 2011.
Offices will be closed on Friday, December 23, Monday, December 26, and at Noon on Friday, December 30, 2011. The College will also be closed on Monday, January 2, 2012.
In observance of Memorial Day, offices will be closed on Monday, May 28, 2012.
