Title: Area Coordinator

Description: The Area Coordinator is responsible for fostering, creating and maintaining a healthy environment within an assigned area that fulfills the educational, social and safety needs of the students who reside there. This is a full-time, 12-month, live-in position that includes the offer of a fringe benefits package, furnished apartment, meal plan, and cell phone allowance.
• Coordinate the administrative and management of assigned residence halls
• Oversee 350-450 students who live in the residence halls
• Supervise and develop Resident Advisor staff of 10-15 members
• Oversee all programming in assigned residence halls
• Develop community within assigned residence halls
• Support department summer operations
• Serve as a student conduct officer
• Assist with department/divisional/college wide programs and projects.
• Promote, recruit and advise hall councils for assigned areas.
• Serve on 24/7 rotating on-call staff
• Perform other duties as assigned
Master's degree in student personnel or related field from an accredited college or university with at least three (3) years experience in Residential Life and Housing in Higher Education. Must have computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, ability to work independently and have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
