Title: Equipment Room Manager
Description: Hartwick College, a multi-divisional institution, is accepting applications for a full-time, 10-month (44 week) Equipment Room Manager. The Equipment Room Manager will manage and provide direction for the operation of the equipment room for all 17 varsity programs (Two Division I programs and 15 Division III programs including football) and is responsible for the use, security, and maintenance of all athletic equipment and apparel. This position is also responsible for creating departmental policies and procedures to guide the equipment room area as well as creating, implementing, and overseeing an equipment and work study budget; overseeing athletic staff in the equipment room as part of their support responsibility, and schedule, manage and evaluate student workers. Position responsibilities must be completed in accordance with the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, College, Conference(s), NCAA, and other related association rules and regulations.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree is required. Experience in supervising staff, strong organization and written/oral communications skills, detailed oriented, high level of record keeping, knowledge of computer operations/applications, and experience in the field of athletics. Strong personal skills and the ability to relate effectively to students, staff, athletes, the College community, general public, and vendors are needed. Position requires the ability to navigate all four floors of Binder Physical Education Center and on- and/or off-campus athletic facilities. The successful candidate must be able to consistently lift and/or move 10 to 20 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move 20 to 30 pounds. Ability to work weekends and evenings is required. Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable through the College.
