Title: Head Women's Basketball Coach

Description: Hartwick College, an NCAA Division III and Empire 8 member institution, is accepting applications for the position of Head Women's Basketball Coach. This is a full-time, benefits eligible, ten-month position running August 1 through May 31.

The Head Coach is responsible for all aspects of program operation/development including but not limited to: administration, coordination and oversight of a competitive NCAA athletic program, included but not limited to practice and contest preparation and implementation, team management, scheduling, alumni and parent development, community service, fundraising and budget management, and mentoring of scholar-athletes. Recruitment of qualified scholar-athletes required; implementation of a sound recruiting strategy, collaboration with admissions, travel, communication, and evaluation of prospects. This position will include additional departmental responsibilities and/or teaching in the required physical education service program. Position responsibilities must be completed in accordance with Athletic Department, Hartwick College, Empire 8, NCAA, and other related association rules and regulations.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) with playing and/or coaching experience at the college level preferred. The successful candidate must demonstrate effective teaching methods and possess excellent leadership, role modeling, organizational and interpersonal skills, and must have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of NCAA regulations. Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable through the College.
