Title: Media Services Assistant

Description: The Media Services department at Hartwick College invites applications for the position of Media Services Assistant. Reporting to the Media Services Manager, this position is part of a dynamic department that oversees campus audiovisual equipment and services. The Media Services Assistant installs, operates, and troubleshoots equipment and digital management systems in classrooms, conference rooms, and performance spaces. The incumbent supervises and trains work-study students.

This is a 10-month position, from mid-August to mid-June. The normal hours of work during the academic year (September through May) will be 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend work will be required. In August and June, normal hours will be 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Qualifications: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience with image projection, sound amplification, and audio and video recording techniques required. Excellent interpersonal and time management skills are a must. Experience with video editing software and techniques preferred. The position requires the manual delivery of media equipment on campus, therefore, the ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds, walk quickly, climb stairs, and stoop is required.
