Assessment Support Coordinator (ASC)

Dr. Lori Collins-Hall, Associate Professor and Chair of the Sociology Department, was hired in May 2008 as the Assessment Support Coordinator. In this role, Dr. Collins-Hall provides expertise and technical support to assist the Committee on the Assessment of General Education in the development and implementation of a general education assessment plan. The Coordinator's primary responsibilities include:

  • Identify faculty development needs for 2008-09 to support the General Education Assessment Plan;
  • Create/compile education programs/resources for faculty development in assessment. In collaboration with Faculty Development & Resources, conduct programming to develop faculty competence in assessment;
  • Provide consulting and support (e.g., soliciting samples, analyzing data, assembling reports) to CAGE as it develops, implements, and reports on curricular assessments;
  • Serve as Academic Affairs liaison to the College-Wide Assessment Committee; and
  • Provide regular updates to Faculty Council and the Office of Academic Affairs.
