David Conway
Mr. Conway serves as the chief strategist in shaping and implementing an enrollment management plan focused on strategies in recruitment and retention that advance the interests of Hartwick students. He oversees the offices of Admissions, Financial Aid and Affordability, First Year Programs, and Marketing and Communications.
Prior to coming to Hartwick in July 2009, Conway was a senior recruitment consultant for the higher education consulting firm Teresa Farnum & Associates. He led admissions and enrollment management operations at three colleges, including as vice president for enrollment management at Saint Joseph's University. Earlier in his career, he served as dean of admissions at Philadelphia University and at Elizabethtown College.
Conway holds a master of arts in English from Temple University, where he also was awarded a University Fellowship to pursue studies in Old English and taught freshman and sophomore composition courses. He received a bachelor of arts in English from the University of Pennsylvania.
