Blackboard Learn

Blackboard is a course-management system that offers course and content authoring tools,  grade center, electronic assignments, tests and surveys, online discussion board and chat room, as well as other course tools. All faculty, staff, and students have Blackboard accounts. Your Hartwick network username and password are used to access Blackboard.

Instructors do not create their own courses. Instead, course shells are automatically generated by Datatel each semester, and rosters are uploaded and updated nightly to each course. Instructors can archive or export content from one semester to another and use the import function to bring in course content without having to recreate materials.

Hartwick College is running Blackboard Learn, version 9.1. For assistance using Blackboard, try the handouts and tutorials below or contact Bryan Del Bene, delbeneb@hartwick.edu or
