Modifying your portal

Your portal is a collection of 'modules' that contain information and/or links to information. Below is a quick introduction to portal and module management.

On your first login to https://community.hartwick.edu, using your network username and password, you will see the default layout and content for your 'role' in the institution (student, faculty or staff member, parent, alumnus(a), etc.). You can delete some of the modules if they don't interest you. You can add others that do interest you. There are a few that are undeletable, but may be minimized if you wish.

On each module there are buttons that allow you some control:

This button allows you to remove the module from your portal.
This button allows you to minimize the module.
This button allows you to open the module.
This button allows you to modify the contents of the module.
This button open the module in a separate window.

In addition, there are other options for modifying your portal.

This button allows you to add modules to you portal. (see below)
This button allows you to arrange the position of the modules on your portal. You can choose from different color schemes as well. (see "modifying portal content" and "modifying portal layout" links to the left...)
