Advisor Resources and Training

Professional staff in the Office of Academic and Pre-Professional Advising are dedicated to ensuring that there are clear policies, procedures and resources to support the academic advising process at Hartwick . As part of our continual effort to ensure that advisors are developing effective advising skills, we have created a series of helpful resources to assist with the advising process:

Mini-Webinars. These brief videos cover a range of topics to assist academic advisors in their work with students.

"Nuts & Bolts" advisor review sessions. Do you have questions about academic policies and procedures, referral services, e-Reg, degree audit, pre-registration or undeclared, first year or transfer advising? Call x4564 or stop by Office of Academic and Pre-Professional Advising (114 Golisano) to set up a one on one training session with our co0rdinator of advising.

WebAdvisor. Now sure what it is or how to use it for advising? Click here for more information.

Forms and Petitions. Not sure where to find a form to change a major or advisor? To register a directed or independent study? Many of our forms are online, click here for a complete list.

The Advising HandbookThe Advising Handbook should be considered the main resource for information about College policies and procedures for advisors. Questions about information contained in the handbook should be directed to Coordinator of Academic and Pre-Professional Advising, Joe Ficano, ficanoj@hartwick.edu.
