Honors Convocation

Hartwick College Honors: The Tradition Continues

The 2012-13 Honors Convocation ceremony will take place on May 8, 2013 at 7 p.m. in Lambros Arena, Binder Physical Education Center.

When Hartwick College initiated its Scholastic Honor Day on April 24, 1940 it was celebrated as a community-wide event in which faculty, staff, students and parents recognized the academic accomplishments of the student body. Now, 72 years later, the tradition continues. The event is now called Honors Convocation, but the intent is the same-- it is Hartwick's special ceremony for academic achievement; a celebration of excellence in scholarship.

President Dr. Margaret L. Drugovich and members of the Hartwick College community will convene to honor and congratulate the recipients of more than 172 awards granted by academic departments and programs, as well as by several staff departments.

Invitations to Award Honorees will be placed in campus mailboxes between April 19-24. Awardees are welcome to invite as many family members and other guests as they wish. The public is invited to attend.
