Emerson Proposal Guidelines
Emerson Scholarship Proposal Guidelines Successful applicants for an Emerson Scholarship must submit 4 copies of:
- Emerson Scholarship application form (can be obtained in PSGE Center).
- A minimum 750-word description of the internship, in your own words. Collateral material can be included.
- A faculty recommendation form that addresses your ability to successfully complete the internship and how this experience will enhance post-graduate opportunities.
- A detailed budget outlining the expenses incurred for the internship. NOTE: The scholarship will cover legitimate, project-related expenses up to a total of $5,000.
- A letter of acceptance from the organization where the internship will take place.
- A declaration of your passport and visa status including 1) whether you have a passport, 2) the country of origin of your passport, 3) expiration date of your passport, and 4) whether your proposal requires an entry visa. Please provide a photocopy of your passport documentation.
- A completed, signed Internship Learning Agreement.
Additional material to be collected by the Committee:
- Confirmation of financial need from the Financial Aid Office.
- Confirmation that you have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- If your project involves research of human subjects, note that written documentation of Institutional Review Board approval of the project must be received before any funding can be released to the scholarship winner.
