Advisor Resources and Training

Professional staff in the Office of Advising and Registration (OAR) are dedicated to ensuring that there are clear policies, procedures and resources to support the academic advising process at Hartwick . As part of our continual effort to ensure that advisors are developing effective advising skills, OAR has created a series of helpful resources to assist with the advising process:

The Advising Handbook. The Advising Handbook should be considered the main resource for information about College policies and procedures for advisors. Questions about information contained in the handbook should be directed to OAR by calling x4435 or emailing oar@hartwick.edu.

"Nuts & Bolts" advisor review sessions. Do you have questions about academic policies and procedures, referral services, e-Reg, degree audit, pre-registration or undeclared, first year or transfer advising? Call or stop by OAR to set up a one on one training session with one of our professionally trained staff members.

WebAdvisor. Now sure what it is or how to use it for advising? Click here for more information or call OAR with questions.

Forms and Petitions.  Not sure where to find a form to change a major or advisor? To register a directed or independent study? Many of our forms are online, click here for a complete list.
