Getting Started

Prior to each pre-registration period the Office of Advising and Registration (OAR) notifies you of your scheduled pre-registration time. OAR sends this information to your campus mailbox with other important pre-registration materials. These notifications should prompt a meeting with your faculty advisor to build a course schedule for an upcoming term. e-Reg allows you to create a course planning worksheet electronically, meet with your faculty advisor to discuss your course choices, have your faculty advisor approve courses electronically from your worksheet, and pre-register electronically for available course sections.

Course planning can happen in one of two ways: you can create your worksheet, add courses to your plan and then contact your faculty advisor for approval, or you can work with your faculty advisor to create your worksheet and add courses. In either case, once you have created your worksheet and added courses to your plan, you should meet with your advisor to discuss your choices. Once you and your advisor have agreed on a set of courses, your advisor approves them (if they haven't already) so that you can pre-register electronically during your scheduled pre-registration time.

Where do I go from here?

You can begin course planning prior to receiving your pre-registration packet from OAR.  You will, however,  need the information from OAR as it contains your scheduled pre-registration time and other important information. Refer to the instructions found on this website to learn how to create, add and remove courses from your plan, the importance of working with your advisor, and how to pre-register for approved courses.
