Career Services offers all Hartwick students and alumni an online, self-guided, interactive program to help you explore majors and career paths based onyour interests, skills, and values.

If this is your first time using Focus 2: To create a new account, contact Career Services to obtain a special access code. Once you get into the system with the access code, you will create your own username and password. Keep this information for future logins.  Start with sections outlined below, or per the direction of your instructor if you are using the system as an assignment for a course, such as WICK 101. Each section takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. You can logout and return to each section at any time. The whole program takes about 2 hours to complete. When you have finished a section, please print our your report and keep handy.  Schedule an appointment with a Career Services advisor through our online WICKworks system, by calling X4425, or by stopping by our offices in the PSGE Center.

Getting Started: We suggest that you start with the sections in the Career Readiness and Self Assessment Categories. If you are exploring majors, consider using the Academic Strengths and Self Assessment sections.

Beyond Exploration: For juniors, seniors, and our alumni, we suggest Your Career Planning Status in the Career Readiness category. If your scores are low, we suggest you complete the Self Assessment category. Explore the Possibilities section is great for exploring careers and gaining insight about salary and education requirements. Please schedule a meeting with a Career Advisor to further explore the results from your Focus 2 assessments.
