Psychology 250 - Hong Kong: Psychology and Culture

With the emergence of China as a world economic power, Hong Kong has become a key center for cultural exchange. In this course, students will critically examine the idea of culture and consider its influences on human behaviors. We will visit cultural landmarks and have meaningful interactions with local students, teachers, entrepreneurs, government officials, and religious leaders. Students of all majors may consider adapting course contents to fulfill specific departmental requirements. Students will also act as ambassadors for Hartwick College and actively engage with local high school students and share their Hartwick experiences.
