The Senior Project in Art is required of all studio art majors and is generally, but not always, carried out in the spring semester of the senior year. Students are expected to discuss their project with their advisor and then submit a written proposal to the Department of Art and Art History which will then either approve the project or request that it be rewritten to include suggestions from the department faculty. For this project students will usually work with two project advisors. All senior projects in art are exhibited in the Senior Projects in Art exhibition, which is held in the Foreman Gallery during the month of May so that it coincides with graduation. The Senior Project is normally taken for 4 credits.
