Dr. Mireille Vandenheuvel
Dr. Mireya Vandenheuvel is Professor of Spanish. She received her M.A. from L'Université Catholique de Paris, her M.S. from Bankstreet College of Education, and her doctorate in Modern Languages from Middlebury College. She was born in Belgium, lived in Argentina and Spain, and has been in the U.S. for the past twenty years. Her interests include second language acquisition, and she works with area high schools to share the latest teaching techniques with them. She also directs Hartwick's language laboratory and enjoys incorporating the Internet into her language courses. She has experience directing language programs during the January term to Spain and Puerto Rico.
