Drum Set


Robert began playing drums at age 8, and drum set seriously around age 12. After graduating from Berklee College of Music in 1995, he began teaching jazz drum set lessons at Hartwick College in Oneonta. In ‘99 he was hired by SUNY Oneonta and began teaching drum set, percussion ensemble, and rock combos.

David DeSiro obtained his bachelor degree in music education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, and a master degree in music performance from the School of Music at Syracuse University.  He has ten years experience as a public school music educator.  He has also been a percussion instructor for the Oxford, Norwich, and Liverpool high school marching bands, as well as for the Pride of the Orange Syracuse University marching band.  In addition, he has been performing professionally since the late 1980’s and has worked with a wide variety of musical groups such as:  The Woodshed Prophets, The Herbs Band, The Kevin Dorsey Collective, ESP, Donna Colton, Mark Doyle’s Guitar Noir, The Homel-Alaniz Band, Sinker, Crazy Diamond, and Guardrail.
