Hartwick's RN Mobility Program partners with Bassett Healthcare.
On December 5, 2008, Bassett Healthcare recognized eight RNs in the Partnership for Nursing Opportunities through Hartwick College. The RNs completed their coursework at Hartwick College to be eligible to graduate with a Bachelor of Science with a major in Nursing at Hartwick College. The RNs are Elletta Sagendorf, RN, Karen Waterman, RN, Dana Peeters, RN, Fariha Quereshy, RN, Michele Bodensiek, RN, Christina Bourgeois, RN, Julie Sloan, RN, and Annette Alexandrea, RN.

Nurses participate in the partnership program as full-time registered nurses, while pursuing a bachelor's degree from Hartwick College. The Partnership of Nursing Opportunities fall English class, American Short Stories, was taught by Dr. Ray McPhail at Bassett Healthcare. The RNs attending the fall 2008 class were Errico Agostino, James Baker, Mary Farrell, Professor McPhail, Stephanie Elderkin, Nanette Root, James Truesdell, and Steven Connors.

Lobby Day exposes the RN students to the New York State legislative process in Albany that pertains to issues about nurses, nursing, and other healthcare matters. Karen Waterman, RN, Annette Alexandra, RN, Fariha Quereshy, RN, and Elletta Sagendorf, RN, of Bassett Healthcare attended Lobby Day during the Spring Semester of 2008 as part of their course, Trends and Issues in Professional Nursing, at Hartwick College. The class was taught by Maureen Fitzgerald Murray, MS, RN, CNA, BC.

Patricia Otis, Denise Ruley, and Vicky Luppino were recognized May 7, 2009 at Hartwick College during Honors Convocation. Luppino received the Emerson International Internship Scholarship to study HIV in Ghana, Africa for her senior independent practicum next year. Otis and Ruley are Hartwick College Honor Society Inductees. Ruley also received the Omicron Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau Award. The three RN students are in the Partnership of Nursing Opportunities Program between Bassett Healthcare and Hartwick College.
