Requirements for a major in general accounting include 12 courses from the following three disciplines:

Courses in Accounting (ACCO):
- 101 Financial Accounting (4 credits)
- 247 Managerial Accounting I (4 credits)
- 321 Intermediate Accounting I (4 credits)
- 322 Intermediate Accounting II (4 credits)
- 342 Taxation I (4 credits)
- 491 Contemporary Issues in Accounting (4 credits)
Courses in Economics (ECON): (Select 2 Courses)
- 101-102 Topics in Economics
Courses in Business Administration :
- BUSA 280
Recommended Elective Courses for Alternative Accounting Tracks:
- ACCO 344, 345, 349, 350, 395/495 (maximum of 3 credits), 421, 422, 490
- BUSA 348
