Hartwick College Museum Club
The Hartwick College Museum Club is a student group dedicated to connecting students with museums in the Oneonta area and beyond. Its mission is to:
-
Expose students to a diverse range of museums by visiting museums regionally and locally.
-
Be involved with the promotion of the Yager Museum.
-
Promote the Museum Studies minor and integrate skills from the classroom.
Students from all majors are welcome. The club makes approximately three visits a semester to various art institutions, exhibits, and museums. Past visits include MassMoca, the American Folk Art Museum, the Baseball Hall of Fame, The Museum of the Earth, the Fenimore Art Museum, and the Rockwell Museum of Western Art.

The Museum Club enjoys a close relationship with the Yager Museum of Art & Culture. Weekly meetings are held in the Museum, and the club has organized community outreach programs to emphasize the Yager Museum's importance to Hartwick and local communities.
