Health and the Human Experience

Statement of Theme: The World Health Organization defines health as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Achieving that kind of health on a global scale is a daunting task that carries both individual and social responsibilities. This year's theme, Health and the Human Experience, will examine how we can work toward healthy lives at home and around the world. We will consider the scientific, social, and personal dimensions of human health and healing and how humans express these experiences.
