Panels, Class Demonstrations, Simulations, & Group Discussions
This presentation option covers a number of solo and group events that are likely to be scheduled in a classroom setting. You and a group may want to give an oral presentation about your class work at a specified time, or you may be part of a panel and audience discussion about a topic you originally presented in a current or previous class. You or a group of students may wish to demonstrate a skill or technique that you used in class, or you may want to simulate a process or scenario from one of your classes.
Please specify the time and materials you need for your project in the REQUIREMENT section of the application form. The Showcase Planning Committee will then determine the maximum time allowed based on both your wishes and the availability of time slots and rooms on Showcase Day. Please be sure to specify all other REQUIREMENTS (sinks, electrical supply, etc.) you will need in order to do your session.
Discussion panels can be moderated by you or other students involved in your project, but there will be an additional moderator assigned to your room (someone not involved in your project) to keep time and make you aware when your session time is coming to a close.
