Library of English Literature
Includes papers, letters memoirs, writings, pamphlets, etc. from beginnings of recorded British history to 1784; each work is individually cataloged, so searching the library catalog will unearth these resources. About 5000 fiche.

Draper Manuscripts
A large set detailing the American frontier, compiled by Lyman C. Draper (State Historical Society of Wisconsin). Some of the items include: Daniel Boone's 1774 military account books and his Kentucky land survey notebooks, papers by and about Mohawk chief, Joseph Brant, Simon Kenton, Tecumsah; original letters and journals kept by participants in the Indian wars in the West from 1754 to 1815, etc.  Each item has a record in the library catalog.

Library of American Civilization
A set of primary resource documents from American history; subject guide is behind the Reference desk; microfiche is available through interlibrary loan.  Also, many of these texts can be found in the Making of America digital collection.
