Hartwick College Founders' Way View through the Campus Pergola

Academic Advising

Guiding your choices. Growing your options. Going your way. Teacher, professor, mentor, friend, ally, advocate. These are just some of the ways Hartwick students describe their faculty advisors.

At Hartwick, advising starts with the student, engages the whole person, and leads to a graduate.

Faculty Advisors

In a campus setting known for its friendliness and support, faculty academic advisors play an influential role in the academic and co-curricular lives of Hartwick students. Advisors are invested in helping students achieve success both in and out of the classroom, from enrollment through graduation and beyond.

Assistance

If you’re a student in need of assistance with your academic college experience, start with an advisor. They are prepared to listen, understand, share, and when necessary to refer you to someone who can help in a different way.

Your Faculty Advisor

From your arrival, you are assigned to an academic advisor who may be a professor in your major or a faculty member who has volunteered to work with exploratory students. Contact your academic advisor when it’s time to discuss your progress and direction, or when you have a question. Advisors expect students to reach out to them – and not just during course registration time.
