Transfer Student Course Planning

The academic planning process for transfers is conducted on an individual basis. Students enrolled for Fall 2017 will begin the course scheduling process in the spring.

Follow the steps below to ensure a seamless transition.

Step 1:

Learn more about majors, courses, and academic planning by reviewing the following:

  • Your transfer equivalency report
  • College Catalog:
    • Review requirements for any academic major you are considering
    • Review Liberal Arts in Practice (LAiP) general education requirements
  • Graduation Requirement Worksheets (for any majors you are considering)
  • If you are unsure about your choice of major, visit the Exploratory Students webpage

Step 2:

Complete the Transfer Academic Course Planner (ACP) – will be available to new transfer students in Spring 2017.

Step 3:

The information you submit on the Transfer ACP will be used as we create your fall term course schedule. Your schedule will be released to you via WebAdvisor when complete (watch for an email with instructions for accessing your schedule).

Step 4:

Adjustments to course schedules based on changing preferences, a change in major, placement exam results, etc. will be made during Welcome Weekend. Times for meeting with an academic advisor to make adjustments will be included in the weekend’s schedule of events.
