Hartwick college

Prepared me for College.
I received the Summer College brochure in the mail and went to a Career Fair at my school, Cicero North High School, and talked to a campus representative about the program. As an 11th grader, I was able to present my work in front of class on the last day of the program. Summer College prepared me for college because I became familiar with diversity and the college environment.

Got a feel for the College experience.
I attend South Side High School in Rockville Centre. I was interested in going to Hartwick so, I decided to attend Summer College after learning about the program at a campus Open House. I really liked the creative writing class. I was able to get the feel for the full college experience.

Wanted to work on my writing.
Based on the letter I received in the mail, Hartwick's Summer College program sounded like it had everything I was looking for. I wanted to attend a creative writing sleep away camp before going to college. I learned a lot in the creative writing course I took. That course was the most valuable part of the Summer College experience.
