Major League Soccer's New York Red Bulls have signed former Hartwick College goalkeeper Jeremy Vuolo, announced today. Vuolo, who was the Hawks' starting keeper from 2007 through 2009, most recently played in the Finnish first division for AC Oulu.

On Friday, the Mid-American Conference announced its 2011 Men's Soccer Academic All-MAC Team. Hartwick seniors Pat Thompson, Jherrett Maroney and junior Greg Mathers each were selected to the 14-member team for the first time in their careers for their exceptional achievements in the classroom.

On Thursday, the Mid-American Conference announced its regular season award winners for the 2011 men's soccer season. Hartwick's Greg Mathers was selected to the MAC First Team, while Jherrett Maroney and Simon Greatwich each were second team honorees.

Men's soccer's 2011 campaign came to a close on Saturday night as the Hawks fell by a 2-1 margin to Northern Illinois on Elmore Field. The Hawks end the season 5-6-5 overall and 1-2-3 in the MAC.
