Eight `Wick Athletes Garner National Academic Recognition

ONEONTA, N.Y. - Eight members of the Hartwick field hockey program received academic mention as the NFHCA announced its 2007 Division III National Academic squad, it was announced Wednesday afternoon.

Amanda Barton (Endicott, N.Y.), Sam Blazey (Newark Valley, N.Y.), Katie Cikatz (Salem, Conn.), Stephanie Cohen (Cheshire, Conn.), Amanda Johnson (Reading, Vt.), Jen Kaye (Altamont, N.Y.), Lindsay Kurtz (Sherburne, N.Y.), and Amanda Valliere (Lebanon, N.H.) each received national recognition from the NFHCA for maintaining at least a 3.3 cumulative grade point average.

Hartwick was one of 83 Division III schools to receive a team award for recording a team cumulative average over a 3.0.
