Jason Boltus accepts his award as the ECAC Division III Player of the Year at the Meadowlands Sports Complex's Pegasus Restaurant.

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ - Former Hartwick quarterback Jason Boltus (Baldwinsville, NY) got some unexpected hardware on Tuesday night at the ECAC Football Banquet held at the Pegasus Restaurant at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, NJ. Boltus, attending the banquet to accept his award for the ECAC Division III Northwest Player of the Year, was also named the ECAC Division III Player of the Year which was selected from the four regional winners.

Boltus was selected from a pool that included Northeast Player of the Year Eric McGrath (Sr., QB, Trinity), Southeast Player of the Year Durrell Dukes (Sr. WR, Kean), and Southwest Player of the Year Bobby Swallow (Sr., QB, Washington & Jefferson). In addition to his ECAC honors, this season Boltus was also a finalist for the Gagliardi Trophy for the second straight year, an Associated Press Little American, the d3football.com East Region Offensive Player of the Year, and the Empire 8 Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.

Less than a week ago, Boltus took part in the National Football League Player Combine in Indianapolis, IN becoming the first 'Wick player to do so. In April, he hopes to hear his name called as just the 11th Division III player in the last 13 years to be selected in the NFL Draft and the first D-3 quarterback to be picked since 1991.
