Koreman, Tomaino Grab Additional Awards

ONEONTA, NY - Senior wide receiver Noah Koreman (Albany, NY/Albany) and senior defensive tackle Ben Tomaino (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta), who each gathered Empire 8 awards yesterday, grabbed additional honors from the ECAC and d3football.com on Tuesday.

Both Koreman and Tomaino swept the ECAC Div. III Northwest weekly awards with Koreman grabbing Offensive Player of the Week and Tomaino earning Defensive Player of the Week. In addition, Tomaino was selected for the d3football.com National Team of the Week on Tuesday.

Koreman caught five passes for 139 yards and three on Saturday. In the latest NCA Div. III football statistics, the senior ranks 6th in receiving yards per game averaging 127.38 per contest.

Tomaino had 13 tackles, seven solo on Saturday adding four sacks and three tackles for loss, including a sack on fourth down which was Utica's final offensive play of the game. Tomaino is tied for 7th in sacks in Division III this season with 9 in eight games.
