Koreman Selected for D-3 Football Senior Classic

  November 20, 2009

SALEM, VA - Hartwick College wide receiver Noah Koreman (Albany, NY/Albany) will get to play in at least one more game even after the Hawks' wrap up the 2009 campaign on Saturday in the ECAC North Atlantic Bowl Championship at Union. Koreman was recently selected to participate in the 2009 D-3 Football Senior Classic on December 5th. The game will take place at Salem Stadium in Salem, VA at 2 p.m.

The game, hosted by the Collegiate Development Football League (CDFL), will showcase ninety of the nation's top D-III players, representing 238 D-III football programs in a North-South format. Television exposure and scouting contacts are anticipated with league representatives from the NFL, CFL, UFL, Arena2, and the CDFL expected to be in attendance.

Koreman ranks ninth in Division III football this season in reception yards per game averaging 120 yards per outing. He has a team-best 16 touchdown receptions this season and has been a d3football.com, Empire 8, and ECAC wide receiver of the week.

Koreman and the Hawks are in search of the program's 2nd ECAC title in College history on Saturday. The Hawks have made five other ECAC Bowl appearances since 1998 but have come away with a victory just once with a 69-14 blowout of Curry in the North Atlantic Bowl in 2002.
