Koreman, Tomaino Named to D3football.com All-Region Team

MINNEAPOLIS, MN - Hartwick seniors Noah Koreman (Albany, NY/Albany) and Ben Tomaino (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) were both named to the d3football.com All-East Region Team, announced late Thursday. Both players were second team honorees.

The teams, selected in balloting by East Region sports information directors and D3football.com staff, were chosen from 181 nominations by Division III member schools. A total of 76 players were chosen.

Koreman, an All-Empire 8 First Team pick, was the Hawks' top receiving option this season accumulating 1,107 yards on 45 catches. He also made 16 touchdown receptions for the Hawks. He led the Empire 8 Conference in reception yards per game hauling in 110.70 yards per outing. Koreman ranks 15th in Division III football in receiving yards per game and is tied for 16th in the country in scoring (9.60 pts./gm.). He sits 6th in Hartwick history in career touchdown receptions (30), 8th in career reception yards (2,158), total points scored (180), and total touchdowns (30), and 10th in career receptions (104).

Tomaino was a first team E8 defensive tackle who led the conference in both sacks and tackles for loss this year. He finished the season with 82 tackles, 16 tackles for a loss of 88 yards, and 11 sacks. He is tied for 7th in the nation in sacks per game averaging 1.10 per outing and tied for 30th in TFLs averaging 1.60 per contest. Tomaino closed his career 2nd on the all-time 'Wick charts in sacks with 19.5, 3rd in tackles for loss with 39.5, and 6th in tackles with 236.
