PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Hartwick men's soccer team left the Penn Soccer Classic with an 0-1-1 mark after Sunday's 0-0 double overtime draw against Lafayette.
The Hawks, now 3-2-1 overall, were out shot by the Leopards 12-7 on the afternoon. Junior John Paul Boyle (Renfrew, Scotland) posted two shots on goal to lead Hartwick's scoring chances.
Goalie Jeremy Vuolo (Downingtown, Pa.) recorded his third shutout of the campaign after grabbing six saves in the draw for Hartwick. Lafayette goalie Philip Nelson was forced to make four stops himself.
The Hawks return to action, next Saturday evening as they host in-state rival Binghamton. The match is set for a 7 p.m. start at Elmore Field.
