Men's Soccer Spring Schedule Released

ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Hartwick men's soccer program will have five dates in its 2008 spring schedule, including a home game with Binghamton, it was announced.

The Hawks' spring schedule opens with back-to-back games against teams in United Soccer Leagues. Hartwick will travel to Hempfield High School in Lancaster, Pa. on Sunday April 6th and take on the Harrisburg City Islanders, a second division squad. Eight days later, the Hawks will square off against the Rochester Raging Rhinos, a USL first division squad, at PAETEC Park.

The schedule continues Saturday, April 19th at the Athens (Pa.) Collegiate Showcase. The Hawks will play three matches, among which includes Division II power East Stroudsburg State, and Division III "Elite Eight" participant, York (Pa.) College. East Stroudsburg finished the season 19-3-1 and lost in the opening round of the national tournament, while York ended up with a 21-3-1 overall mark. Gettysburg College, which advanced to the finals of its league tournament, will be Hartwick's final opponent on the day.

The Hawks will then close the spring season with matches at the University of Vermont on April 26 and then host Binghamton at Elmore Field on May 3 at 1 p.m.
