
ONEONTA, NY - Head men's soccer coach Ian McIntyre announced the 14 standout student-athletes who will enroll at Hartwick College and compete for the Hawks this Fall. Three transfer students and eleven freshmen student-athletes will represent the "Blue and White" in 2009.
Konrad Andersson (Helsingborg, Sweden/Filborna HS), Pedro Andreoni (Sao Paulo, Brazil/South Kent Prep School, CT), Cleyon Brown (Kingston, Jamaica/Berkshire School), Nolan Brown (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit North), Simon Greatwich (Lewes, England/BHASVIC), Jumol Harewood (Brooklyn, NY/Bryant and Stratton College), Ramsay Hartley (Maplewood, NJ/Columbia HS), Joel Jalanne (Littoinen, Finland/Aurajoki HS), Jason Keefe (Springfield, MA/Central HS), Jherrett Maroney (Cincinnatus, NY/Stony Brook University), Seun Sanusi (St. Leonard's, MD/St. Mary's Ryken), Niko Tirkkonen (Lahti, Finland/Salpausselka HS), Jake Wright (Palos Verdes/California State University, Northridge) and Michael Wysocki (Somers, CT/East Catholic HS) are the newest additions to a 'Wick program that looks to build upon a 7-5-7 season that ended on penalty kicks to a #3 nationally ranked Akron University team in the 2008 MAC Tournament.

A native of Helsingborg, Sweden, Andersson is a versatile defender who has represented Sweden at the U17 National Team Level. A member of Helsingborg IF Youth Academy, Coach McIntyre will be looking for Andersson to fill some of the holes in the 'Wick defense created through the graduation of All-MAC defenders Liam Parrington'09 and Jonathan Garcia-Torres '09.
Andreoni captured the New England (NEPSSA) Championship with South Kent and is a very composed, technical defender. Andreoni has the ability and experience to make a successful transition to the Division I level.
Cleyon Brown was captain and a WINEPSA All-Star at Berkshire School in Massachusetts. A member of the Jamaican U18 and U20 National Pool, he has participated with the Harbour View FC youth program and will be a great addition to the 'Wick attack.
Nolan Brown won two District Championships at Lee's Summit North High School and has played for Kansas City Soccer Club. An excellent shot stopper, his work effort will ensure that he continues to develop and compete for the starting goalkeeper position at Hartwick.
Greatwich is a member of Ringmer Football Club and has most recently represented the Philippine National Team in the AFC Challenge Cup qualification tournament in the Maldive Islands. He is a technically gifted player who will provide additional quality to the team in the final attacking third. Simon is following his brother Chris Greatwich '07 to 'Wick and they will become the ninth set of brothers to compete for the Blue and White (Mike and Kevin Burns, Allen and Ken Castledine, Dave and Andrew Gregson, Brendan and Colm Keenan, David and Stephen Long, Tony and Larry Martelli, Alec and Nick Papadakis, and Ken and Rique Roberts ).
Hartley is a composed defender who plays for TSF Academy. The Maplewood, NJ resident was an All-State member of the Columbia High School team and a Super Y All-Metro representative.
Harewood is a two-time All-Region selection at Bryant and Stratton College in Syracuse, NY. The strong, athletic forward has the ability and presence to lead a Hartwick attack that must replace All-Region and All-MAC striker John Paul Boyle '09.
Jalanne captained FC Inter Turku to a National Youth Championship. A member of the Finnish U18 and U19 National Pool, the talented defender will be looked upon to solidify the Hartwick backline.
Keefe was recognized 1st Team All-Western Massachusetts at Springfield Central High School. The industrious striker has played for both Western United FC and Oakwood Academy while representing the Massachusetts Olympic Development program during the past five years.
During the 2008 campaign, Maroney played in 17 matches for Stony Brook University in the America East Conference. The dynamic attacking player starred at Cincinnatus Central High School and was a member of the Region I ODP Pool and BC United Fusion program. Jherrett played alongside Pat Thompson '12 at BC United and will provide additional energy and quality to the attack.
Sanusi has picked up All-State honors at St. Mary's Ryken High School. The athletic Maryland native is a member of the National Honor Society and has played for MSC United and the DC United Academy.
Tirkkonen is another new 'Wick addition with national team experience representing Finland's U18 squad in Slovakia and Portugal. A strong, skillful midfield player, he was a National Youth Runner-Up with FC Reipas and has also competed with FC Lahti Academy.
Wright transferred to Hartwick for the 2009 Spring Semester and has trained with the program this semester. The strong goalkeeper possesses excellent reflexes and has gained valuable experience with California State University, Northridge and Orange County Blue Star of the PDL.
Wysocki joins Hartwick after a very successful career at East Catholic High School in Manchester, CT. The talented midfielder/striker was a 2008 All-New England selection and team MVP for the two-time State Champions. Michael is a member of West Hartford Premier Soccer Club and has competed for the Connecticut Olympic Development Program.
