Women's Hoop Team Hosts "Think Pink" Night for Tuesday's Game Versus Utica

  February 9, 2009

ONEONTA, NY - Hartwick College's women's basketball team will host a "Think Pink" Breast Cancer Awareness initiative at Binder Gymnasium on Tuesday night as the team hosts local rival Utica College.

The Hawks will don "Think Pink" warm-up t-shirts for the game. Additional shirts will be given away free of charge by Swoop and the HC cheerleading team in the stands during the contest.

Fans, who are encouraged to join the cause by wearing pink to the game, will be eligible at the door to win autographed pink and white basketballs, one signed by members of 'Wick's women's team, and another by the Hartwick men's team. Winners of the basketballs will be randomly drawn at halftime of both women's and men's games slated for the evening.

The Hartwick women's team is currently 10-11 overall and 5-7 in conference play and has won five of its last seven games. Live stats will be posted on http://livestats.hartwick.edu.  The contest is set to tip-off at 6 p.m. with the men's game to follow at 8 p.m.
