Harrison Claims Empire 8 Player of the Week Honors

ROCHESTER, NY - Senior Danée Harrison (Cary, NC) has been selected as the Empire 8 Conference's Women's Basketball Player of the Week a day after leading the Hawks to a one-point win. She becomes the first Hartwick player to receive the distinction since the 2006-2007 season.

Harrison recorded a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds on Sunday to lead Hartwick to a 66-65 win over Clarkson. She hit the winning free throw with six seconds left and picked up a steal on the Golden Knights' final possession to seal the victory. She hit five of eight field goals in the game and pulled down eight offensive rebounds.

Harrison ranks third in the conference in offensive boards (4.14 rpg) and sixth in total rebounds (6.9 rpg) this season for the 4-3 Hawks. She has been 'Wick's top rebounder in three games this year.
