West Praises Efforts at Hartwick's Team Camp

The Hartwick College women's basketball team camp took place on June 13th with five teams participating. Susquehanna Valley High School, East Syracuse Minoa High School, Adirondack Central, Elmira-Notre Dame High School, and Cherry Valley-Springfield High School participated.

With it being our first women's team camp, I was very happy with how smoothly everything went. Each team showed great sportsmanship and played very hard. It was great to have these teams on campus and see them have fun. Thanks to all the hard work of our incoming freshmen Maria Foglia, Lee Arduini, Kaitlyn Veit, Kate Purcell, Tracey Koch, as well as junior Jordan Nichols. In addition, help from many of the Hartwick men's basketball players made this tournament a huge success.

The money raised from this tournament will go to help offset the costs of our trip to North Carolina next November. I am definitely looking forward to expanding the team camp to several high schools around New York State and beyond for high school teams to come and compete.
