Post/Lin Win Again in Hawks' Setback at Union College

SCHENECTADY, NY - Hartwick's second doubles team of Kim Post (Nashua, NH/N. Middlesex Reg.) and Jennifer Lin (Albany, NY/Colonie) continued to roll on Tuesday with their third straight victory, but the Hawks lost the team battle to Union College, 7-2. Hartwick falls to 1-4 overall with the loss. Union ups their record to 2-1.

Post and Lin, who have now combined to win five of the their first six doubles matches to start the season, defeated Dutchwomen Brittany Gilbert and Dee Dee Gaudian, 8-5, to earn Hartwick's lone doubles point. Post also won her third singles match in a row with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Union's Andi Coopersmith.

Post has now earned victories in four of her first six matches in 2009 and won 22 matches in her three seasons with the Hartwick program.

The Hawks return to the court on Wednesday in a makeup contest with Utica. Matches begin at 4 p.m.
