Volleyball Closes Out Season in Elmira

Kerry Sisson recorded team-highs of eight kills and nine digs in her final collegiate match on Saturday against Fisher.

ELMIRA, NY - Hartwick ended the 2008 campaign on Saturday with a pair of setback to Elmira and St. John Fisher. Both matches were played at Speidel Gymnasium at Elmira College. The Hawks dropped a three-set match to the host Soaring Eagles, 18-25, 21-25, 13-25, and then fell in four sets to Fisher, 22-25, 20-25, 25-21, and 20-25.

Against the Soaring Eagles, Darcy Dolge (LaGrande, OR) recorded a team-high six kills. Cassie Dresser (Ovid, NY) and Courtney Desmond (Cortlandt Manor, NY) each had five. Lauren Mausert (Niskayuna, NY) and Kerry Sisson (Ballston Spa, NY) each notched seven digs.

In the Hawks match with Fisher, five players had over five kills. Sisson led the way with team-highs of eight kills and nine digs in her final collegiate match. Dolge added 18 assists and Desmond contributed 11.

The Hawks end the season with a record of 12-25.
