Milkovich, Ha Sweep E8 Swimming and Diving Weekly Awards

ROCHESTER, NY - Senior Kevin Milkovich (Newburgh, NY) and freshman Stephanie Ha (Everett, WA) were named Empire 8 Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week on Monday morning. The pair combined for five individual wins on Saturday in a Hartwick sweep of St. Lawrence.

Milkovich won three events in a 144-93 win over the Saints. He captured the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:10.02), 200-yard individual medley (2:03.55), and the 200-yard butterfly (2:03.76). It is the second time this season he has earned the E8 honor. Milkovich was also selected on Nov. 11, 2008 after winning six races in two victories over Le Moyne and Rensselaer.

Ha earns her first weekly honor from the conference after winning two individual events in Saturday's 138-82 victory over St. Lawrence. She finished first in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:01.17 and the 100-yard freestyle in 56.10 seconds. Ha was also a part of the Hartwick 400-yard medley relay that was victorious with a time of 4:13.70.

Both Hartwick men's and women's swimming and diving teams will be back home at Moyer Pool on Sat., Jan. 24 as they host the Fredonia State Blue Devils at 1 p.m.
