Women's Lacrosse

The Hartwick College women's lacrosse team was recently rewarded for its efforts in the classroom this past academic year as the Hawks earned a spot on the 2011 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Squad.

The Hartwick College Department of Athletics recognized 18 student-athletes as their respective team's MVP at Wednesday evening's Athletic Awards Banquet.

On Monday, junior Brittany LaVaute, freshman Brittany McCabe, freshman Morgan Galipeau and junior Hannah Kennedy each received Empire 8 accolades with the announcement of the conference's postseason awards.

Freshman Ali Sisco and juniors Hannah Kennedy and Brittany LaVaute combined for 10 goals as Hartwick's women's lacrosse team finished the 2011 season with a 16-11 victory over Cazenovia at Morrisville State's Drake Stadium on Tuesday night.
