Hall Council

Hall Council provides the opportunity for students to get involved in a leadership role and build community in the residence halls. The purpose of Hall Council at Hartwick College is to provide quality activities and programs that will encourage residents to interact with each other and develop a sense of community within the building. Hall Council represents the opinions of all residents through the Student Senate.

Each Hall Council consists of an executive board within each building elected in the fall semester. Typically Hall Council elects a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and a Student Senate representative. The Student Senate representatives attends Student Senate meetings in addition to weekly Hall Council meetings. Hall Council is advised by the building supervisor with the help of a Resident Advisor from the building staff. Buildings that currently have a Hall Council are:
