50/50 Peer Helping
What is 50/50 Peer Helping?
For students who feel more comfortable talking to a fellow student, Hartwick has 50/50 *Peer Helpers available. Located on the third floor of Dewar Union, the name of their program is "50-50" and their on-campus extension is 5050. These students are carefully selected and extensively trained to listen open-mindedly and assist others in sorting out their issues and deciding on a course of action. They won't tell you what to do; they'll help you decide what you want to do. Peer Helping is confidential and available during the day as well as evening and weekend hours.
Feel free to drop-in or call in (ext. 5050) to their office on the 3rd floor of Dewar Union.
