Hartwick's Health Center
Wellness is the condition of good physical and mental health, especially when maintained by proper diet, exercise and habits.
Our mission is to promote and maintain those conditions that will encourage students to realize their optimum physical, emotional, intellectual, and social well-being. To achieve this goal we practice preventative healthcare and assist students to become educated consumers of healthcare.
The Counseling Center is also housed in the Wellness Center. Together we strive to meet the wellness needs of the Hartwick community.

Hours of Services:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. (closed weekends)
Doctor on staff Tuesdays from 12:15-2:00 pm to see students by appointments.
Physicians Assistant on staff Monday -Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm by appointments.
We encourage appointments but will accomodate students needing urgent care. Scheduling an appointment reduces your waiting time and helps us to see patients more efficiently.

Confidentiality: All contact with Perrella Wellness Center services is strictly confidential. Medical information can be released only with the student’s written permission.
Insurance: Insurance billing for diagnostic testing performed off-campus or medications ordered by Perrella Wellness Center practitioners and any off-campus medical referrals is as follows:

College insurance: cost is automatically billed to College insurance plan for payment.

Parent Insurance:

Diagnostic tests: cost is automatically billed to parent insurance plan

Medications: cost is charged to the student’s College account: most costs are less than insurance co-pay.

All students should have their own insurance/prescription card to carry with them at all times.

There is no fee to see a healthcare provider or counselor. (Note: nominal fee charged to student accounts for certain in-house laboratory tests and procedures.)
When Perrella Wellness Center is closed, medical care can be received at Fox Hospital Emergency Department at 607-431-5000, FoxNow walk-In Clinic at 607-431-5052, or Bassett Urgent Care at 607-433-6400.
