Assistant Resident Director Selection Process

The Office of Residential Life & Housing employees two Assistant Resident Directors (ARD). The ARD's are responsible for creating and maintaining a healthy living environment that fulfills the educational, social, and safety needs of the students who reside there. The ARD also must help foster a sense of community within the residence hall, support the resident advisors within the building, and provide assistance when needed. They are supervised by the Assistant Director of Residential Life & Housing and/or the Area Coordinator.

2013-14 Assistant Resident Director (ARD) Selection Process Important Dates:

Saturday, February 9: Process described at RA training
Monday, February 18:

  • Completed Application (Resume and Cover Letter) due to the Office of Residential Life by 5 p.m.
  • Sign up for individual interviews outside of Dewar 416A, Office of Residential Life by 5 p.m.
  • Supervisor letter of recommendation due
Wednesday, February 20: Individual Interviews 10am-4pm, Farrington Room

Friday, February 22: Notification letters delivered to student mailboxes
Friday, March 1: Signed contracts due to the Office of Residential Life by 5 p.m.
