Zach returned to his hometown of Oneonta after graduating from Nazareth College in Rochester N.Y.  and joined the Hartwick College Residential Life and Housing team as a Residence Director of Smith Hall in 2001.  Since 2004, Zach has moved up the Residential Life and Housing ladder holding the positions of Area Coordinator (2004-2005) and Assistant Director of Residential Life and Housing (2005-2007) until his current position as the Director of Residential Life, Housing, Student Conduct and Summer Programs.  Providing the opportunities for students to grow academically, socially and personally and seeing the students succeed is what makes residential life a great environment to work in.

Jill joined the Hartwick Residential Life team in 2006 after returning back to Oneonta, her hometown. Jill went to SUNY Cobleskill for her undergraduate degree in financial services, but worked as a Resident Advisor for two years. Jill fondly remembers that experience as being her favorite part of college. After working at Hartwick for a few years, Jill decided to obtain her Master's degree from  Binghamton University in Student Affairs Administration. If you asked Jill why she works in res life, she would say "Every day and every student is different... how fun is that?!?"

Barbara has been a part of the Hartwick Residential life team since January 2000 after moving to the Oneonta area from Maine. This has been her first experience with residential life and what a learning experience it has been. "Working in Residential life there is such a sense of community, I feel as though we play an integral role in supporting and influencing the lives of the more than 1,200 residents living on campus."

Gillian joined the Residential Life Team in August 2009. Gillian went to SUNY Oneonta for her undergraduate degree in Business Economics and quickly realized that working with students is where her career was going to take her. While finishing her Masters degree in Student Affairs Administration from Binghamton University, she moved back to Oneonta to begin work at Hartwick. "Working with students everyday is such a pleasure. Watching and helping students navigate their way in the world is the best reward I could have."

Seth Lucas '10 served as an Resident Advisor for three years while a student at Hartwick College. While a student, Seth earned two degrees in English and Theatre as well as his certification in Secondary Education. Upon graduating Seth was hired to serve as the Coordinator of Challenge Education and Pine Lake Residency. Seth enjoys living and working at Pine Lake with his dog, Peter.

Alice joined Hartwick College in August 2011 and is excited to be a member of the Residential Life Team.  Alice studied English at SUNY Oneonta, where she was a Resident Advisor for over two years.  Upon graduation, Alice returned to her hometown of Long Island, New York.  She worked in various fields before attending graduate school to follow her true passion for working with college students.  Alice graduated from Hofstra University with her Master's degree in Education focusing in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies & Higher Education.  Alice loves working in residence life because every day is fresh and exciting and she enjoys helping students learn and grow.

Jenna joined the Hartwick Residential Life team in the fall of 2011 after working at Onondaga Community College and Yale University as a Residence Hall Director. Jenna is originally from Syracuse, NY and graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester in May 2010 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. During her time at Nazareth, Jenna worked as a Resident Assistant, thoroughly enjoying every moment of her work on the residential life team. After being a first year student RA for two years, Jenna found that her passion resided in the field of residential life and student affairs. Jenna hopes to start working on her Master's degree in Student Affairs Administration from Binghamton University within the next year. If you asked Jenna why she works in Residential Life, she would say that she "loves working with and valuing each student for who they are and getting to know each of their unique backgrounds, personalities, talents and goals; it is awesome making a difference in the lives of others!!"

A graduate of Hartwick in the spring of 2011, Kelly began her career in Residential Life as a Resident Advisor in the fall of 2008. She was an RA for two years before becoming an Assistant Resident Director her senior year. After graduation, Kelly came back to Hartwick as a Resident Director. She chose to do so because she "loves the influence and bonds with students she is able to have and build." Originally from North Greenbush, NY, Kelly hopes to practice higher education law one day.

From Palmer Massachusetts, Courtney graduated high school and went on to attend Hartwick College. Anticipating her graduation in May 2012, Courtney is enjoying her time at Hartwick. Nursing is her passion as she just completed an internship on the Labor and Delivery Unit. She is also involved in the Guiding Eyes for the Blind program having one puppy successfully graduate from the program and currently raising another. Courtney worked as a Resident Advisor at Hartwick for a year an a half before applying to become the Assistant Resident Director of Holmes. When asked why she loves res life she would respond "I enjoy making a difference in the Hartwick community. With res life, I have found my niche."

Jeff came to Hartwick in the fall of 2008 after graduating from Pentucket Regional High School in West Newbury, MA. Jeff is a senior double majoring in Economics and Business Administration. Outside the classroom, he has played on Hartwick's men's tennis team all four years, worked as a Blue Key Tour Guide, and has been a Residential Advisor in Oyaron House and Smith Hall. Jeff is currently the  Assistant Resident Director of Oyaron House.
